I'm back, and I'm thankful

Have you been wondering where I am? Have you stayed awake at night tossing and turning in agony because the author of the team as completely neglected her readers? If you answered yes to either of these questions....I am sorry.

Lucky for you, I am back.

Lucky for me, I have loyal readers who visit the team every day hoping for something interesting to read and some recent pictures to smile at. Thank you. I am thankful for each and every one of you.

I am thankful for many things. Thankful that my son Luke is feeling better and fever free! I am thankful for generous parents who continue to shower our family with so much love and support. I am thankful the New Orlean Saints are still sporting a perfect season. I am thankful for family, though not near, who support and pour their hearts into everything they do. They are a constant reminder that family is so very special and are here to lean upon in times of sadness, but even more important, times of joy.

I am thankful for children who amaze me with their brilliant minds and compassionate hearts.

I am thankful for friends who have stuck by my side, even when I am not the best at staying in touch. I thank God for you everyday.

I am also very thankful for this man, my husband.

He is thoughtful. He is caring. He is wise.

He is a high five giver, a sport playing encourager, and side line cheerer.

He spends time with our children. He is goofy and has a contagious laugh.

Told you.

My husband is a lover of cheesecake, Notre Dame football, and conservative talk radio.
He is non-confrontational, holds his tongue well, and always thinks before he speaks.

He never minds helping our children with their homework or cooking dinner. He is quick to bring me a glass of wine when the kids are all nestled in bed.

He is timely, well spoken, and strives to be the best version of himself.

He is witty and does a few pretty good impersonations. Ahem!

I love him with all of my heart and thank God for sending him to me. I thank my husband for taking me as I am and walking beside me as I too strive to be the best version of me.

I love you honey!

Thank you for reminders of family and friends. And thank you for telling us how great your husband (didn't know about the "ahem" personations, but looking forward to seeing a few.)

Your writing is very good, Jessica. I look forward to your next blog.

Jessica,
Very nice. Great pictures as always!
You must have had a momentary lapse and forgot to mention one other thing to be thsnkful for...that the MSU Bulldogs saved their best for last routing the Ole Miss Rebels and took home the coveted 'Bgg Bowl' trophy!!
No bowl game this year, so we'll have to savor that one for a while.
Love,
Dad
