We had a birthday in our family last week.

Brady turned four.



There was laughing, smiling, presents, cake and ice-cream.

It was a celebration of life and love.

And apparently, shirts were optional.

my blue eyed birthday boy!

This blue eyed wonder boy, who's baby brother is on top of his every move, as you can clearly see here, is seven years old today!

My how time goes by. I am so blessed to be this little jewel's Mommy.

He is kind to others, a great story teller, awesome at math, a truly amazing athlete who will do great things with his talent, a man's man, has piercing blue eyes, has at least eight different nicknames given to him by his Daddy and captured my heart this day seven years ago!

Happy Birthday Micah! May God bless you today on your seventh birthday! I love you with all my heart!

three is a magic number!

Dear Brady,

Happy Birthday sweet baby boy! I remember the day you were born like it was, well, three years ago. Your Daddy and I were so happy to finally meet you. I couldn't wait to meet the little boy who had been kicking me constantly for nine months. I wondered what you would look like. You melted our hearts.

Just look at your pruned little feet. How precious you are!

Your brothers and sister were so excited to meet you! They were all giggles and couldn't wait for a turn to hold you.

What a blessing you have been to our family, Brady. I can't imagine life without your smiling face and your contagious laugh.

Here you are on your first birthday enjoying a bite of cake for the first time.

And here on your second birthday you are extremely excited to dig in!

It seems like you are actually bracing yourself for the impact.

And here we are today on your third birthday. With your long blond hair(No, I still have not cut it) and blue eyes, I wish you a very happy birthday! I love you so much! May you continue to grow in God's love and always have the zest for life you have now!

Dear Micah

Today you turned six years old! I still remember when you were just a tiny baby. How I used to hold you in my arms and rock you fast asleep. You were such an easy going and happy baby. You knew that Momma needed you to be a go-with-the-flow baby, because I had two other small children to divide my attention between. And that you were. You had wild hair and gorgeous ocean blue eyes. When you smiled you melted my heart. You still manage to melt my heart in so many ways. Your thirst for knowledge, your tender touch, and love for your Daddy. You are precious. We love you more than words can say. Happy 6th Birthday!

Recently, our family celebrated Madison's 8th birthday. It was a small family gathering. We had cake and ice cream, sang Happy Birthday, and opened gifts. It was a wonderful celebration.

Yesterday was my birthday. I bet you'll never guess what my two year old picked out for me.

Maybe a new handbag or a pearl necklace. Perhaps some monogrammed dish towels or my favorite perfume. It would be swell to have a few new shirts and skirts to wear to work. Or maybe he made a card telling me I am the best mom in the whole wide world!

Nope, not Brady.

As you can see, Brady had something else in mind to give his momma for her birthday! Oh honey...oh my goodness....you shouldn't have.
