This past week while staying in Gulf Shores, Alabama with our family, I most certainly did not let our children walk on oil stained sand and even put their feet in the oil stricken water. I would never allow such behavior nor would I myself walk on the same sand to get a few measely photographs.
Shoreline filled with tar balls.
Tiny tar ball.
Large tar ball.
From one extreme...
to another.
People even topping off their sand castles with tar balls.
Oil stained sand.
Oil stained feet.
Our hearts forever stained by this tragedy.
Err, wait. Maybe I did! It's Monday, who knows! (Thank you to my cousin, Meghan, for providing some of these photographs!)
