Make your plans now to see Bay Shore Ballet's restaging of the classic ballet, La Boutique Fantasque, also known as The Fantastic Toy Shop. This enchanting ballet is set to classical music with classical choreography, professional sets and gorgeous costumes. In the story, families travel from all over the world to a famous toymaker's shop to purchase mechanical dolls. The dolls include can-can dancers, sailor dolls, a special collection of circus dolls complete with a ringmaster, acrobats, tigers, clowns and much more! The story takes a suspenseful turn when two families from different countries want to purchase and separate a pair of dolls that are deeply in love. Watch all of the magical dolls come to life at night to dance and hatch a plan to keep the couple together.
Performances are April 27 and 28 at the Fairhope Civic Center.
