in stitches

I have been blogging in my head lately. Which doesn't help when I have a public blog that people read. It's just the process of getting the blog posts that are swimming around in my head on this here blog that seem to be not working out. Maybe I will get my act together soon. Maybe.

Stitches. Three stitches. That is what Micah got in his foot Saturday afternoon. If you have a weak stomach do NOT look at these pictures.

This blue eyed boy has been such a trooper. He asked the doctor a LOT of questions and continues to ask questions at home. He missed his last regular season baseball game and will more than likely not play in the tournament. Which is a real bummer because he is REALLY good and would have made All-Stars. We'll see.

To protect the guilty brother that did this to Micah, on accident of course!, he shall remain nameless. A long, very old, VERY sharp walking stick was propelled into Micah's foot. Sorrys have been said and forgiveness has been had.

Now if you will excuse me, we are off to secure a vacation spot for this summer!

I read on blogfrog that you're looking for books for your 11-year-old, but since I'm not registered, I thought I'd answer you here!
Maybe "Dragon Rider" by Cornelia Funke is a book for him or the Eragon series. "The Dangerous Book for Boys" by Iggulden should be fun too. He might also like "The Kid Who Invented the Trampoline: and Other Extraordinary Stories About Inventions". Maybe there are newer versions of the "How and Why Wonder Books"? In Germany we have tons of newer publications, but I don't know about the American market.. Hope I could help..

So I'm not the only one who has a bunch of posts in her head but not on her blog?

So sorry to hear he had an accident that involved stitches. Good that the "offending brother" apologized and all is well.

All stars is a big deal...maybe next year! :-)

By the way, he is such a cutie! He has those "heart breaker" good looks for sure.

I posted on Blog Frog about suggested books...but I'll post here too...Create Your Own Adventure series is awesome. Most librarys have them and you can check on Amazon. They are pretty cheap too.
